One of the core programs of The Grateful Garment Project (TTGP) is its “RESOURCE CLOSETS” program.
This arm provides emergency clothing to victims of sexual violence once they have undergone a forensic examination or seek Sexual Violence Service Provider services. Victims include Commercially Sexually Exploited Children (CSEC) and victims of Human Sexual Trafficking (HST). Sadly, it includes all genders, socio-economic classes, and ages.
Their scope is wide, as they serve all 58 California counties. But their purpose is narrowly defined in this statement: that no victim of sexual violence should ever experience further suffering due to a lack of clothing to wear home after he or she receives services from the response team.
