Speaker Luncheon Series

EXONERATED NATION with Caitlin Dunklee

13.6 years is the average sentence served by a wrongly imprisoned exoneree.  After years of wrongful imprisonment, there is no established California state program to help exonerees transition home.  Additionally, they do not have access to the reentry programs available to individuals on parole.  Exonerees face barriers to meeting their basic needs, securing safe housing and finding living wage employment.

Ms. Dunklee will speak to us about the key barriers to achieving the types of legal, legislative and cultural changes necessary to end wrongful imprisonment in California and the United States and how we may be able to help.
